Section 1

What is Estriol 0.3% + Hyaluronic Acid 0.5% face cream and what is it used for?

Estriol 0.3% + Hyaluronic Acid 0.5% face cream is a prescription skincare treatment for facial skin changes associated with perimenopause and menopause. It may be prescribed for patients experiencing dryness, dullness, reduced firmness, reduced elasticity, or fine lines linked to hormonal skin changes.

Estriol is a form of oestrogen. Oestrogen levels naturally decline during perimenopause and menopause, and this can affect the skin barrier, hydration, collagen, elasticity, and overall skin texture.

Hyaluronic Acid is a hydrating ingredient that helps attract and hold water in the skin. It is included to support skin hydration and a smoother, more comfortable skin feel.

Important:

This cream is for facial use only. It is not intended to treat hot flushes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, or other symptoms of menopause. Speak to your clinician if you need advice about wider menopause symptoms or hormone replacement therapy.

Section 2

Other medicines and skincare products

Tell your prescriber or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used, or might use any other medicines or hormone treatments, including HRT, vaginal oestrogen, contraceptive hormones, or other prescribed skincare.

If you use strong active skincare ingredients such as retinoids, exfoliating acids, benzoyl peroxide, vitamin C, or prescription acne treatments, introduce this cream carefully and avoid applying too many active products at the same time unless advised.

Section 3

How to use Estriol 0.3% + Hyaluronic Acid 0.5% face cream

Always use this treatment exactly as your prescriber has told you. Check your dispensing label for the dose and frequency. If you are unsure, ask your prescriber or pharmacist.

Cleanse first

Apply to clean, dry skin unless your prescriber has advised otherwise.

Use a small amount

Apply a thin layer to the face. Avoid the eyelids, lips, nostrils, and broken skin.

Apply as directed

Most patients are advised to use it once daily, usually in the evening, but follow your label.

Wash hands

Wash your hands after application to avoid accidental transfer to the eyes or other areas.

When to expect changes

Improvements in dryness and skin comfort may be noticed earlier, but changes in firmness, elasticity, texture, and fine lines usually take consistent use over several weeks to months.

If irritation occurs

If your skin becomes dry, red, stinging, or irritated, reduce the frequency of application and use a simple moisturiser. If symptoms persist or become severe, stop using the cream and contact your prescriber or pharmacist.

If too much is used

If you accidentally apply too much, remove the excess and continue as normal at the next application. Do not apply extra to make up for missed applications.

If you forget to apply it

Carry on as normal with your next scheduled application. Do not apply a double amount to make up for the missed dose.

If swallowed accidentally

If anyone, including a child, swallows the cream, seek medical advice immediately and take the container with you if possible.
